 Hyundai Accent Overview,Hyundai Philippines has finally brought the 2019 Accent to local showrooms. Now in its fifth generation, the all-new Hyundai Accent offers a glimpse of the brand's latest design language in the sedan package. The new look features the brand's signature Cascading Grille, along with new headlight and fog lamp shapes, creating an eye-catching appeal, bringing it closer to its larger sibling, the Elantra compact sedan. Other changes were seen in the passenger compartment. The all-new Hyundai Accent comes with a simpler yet curved dashboard. This is highlighted by piano blue and black lighting and satin chrome inside. Higher-end versions get leather upholstery, as well as an upgraded engine start/stop button. The all-new Hyundai Accent sedan is powered by a 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engine with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. For gasoline versions, there is a 1.4-liter Kappa engine that produces 99 horsepower and 132 Nm of torque. The petrol mill is also available with a six-speed manual and automatic gearbox.

Hyundai Accent launch period


The fifth generation Hyundai Accent entered the Philippine market in December 2018. The compact car comes in a hatchback or a sedan form. Engine options are also available for vehicles that come with a gasoline or diesel engine. Like its engine, two gearbox options are also available.


Platform, Chassis and Powertrain


Hyundai Accent is powered by two engine options, the first is a 1.6-liter turbo diesel that produces 126 hp and 260 Nm of torque. The other option is a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with a volume of 1.4 liters. The gasoline-fed engine produces 99 horsepower and 132 Nm of torque. Second The engines are available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. As for suspension, the compact car rides on MacPherson struts with coil springs at the front and a torsion-coupled axle at the rear. Stopping power comes from ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Steering comes from the driver's power steering unit.

Hyundai Accent comes with electric side mirrors, electric windows, portable ashtray and 3.8 inch LCD radio with RDS. The infotainment system comes with Aux-in and USB capabilities, the climate controls are manual and come with the car's rear air vent.

Hyundai Accent includes halogen headlights and taillights. Car side mirrors match the body color. The compact sedan also comes with backlit glass with a heating function and a timer.
